TBS awarded to develop a Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting system (MER) by UNICEF for the Bureau of Non-formal Education at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education MoPME (GOB) Nov 2009: Technology and Business Solutions Ltd (TBS) has been awarded to develop a Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting system (MER) by UNICEF for the Bureau of Non-formal Education at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education MoPME (GOB). UNICEF has been engaged in the field of education for urban working children since many years with a flagship project named Basic Education for Hard to Reach Urban Working Children (BEHTRUWC) which aims at providing 200,000 working children (60% girls), aged 10-14 yrs with life skills based basic education in 6 divisional cites of Bangladesh. Currently the project is running 6,646 learning centers (LC) attended by 166,150 Learners.
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting system (MER) will be developed under the provision of the capacity building component for the BEHTRUWC project. The MER system will provide stakeholders and partners, key information on the outputs outcome, progress and performance of the project. The compilation of the data (learning centers, teachers, learners, supplies and equpment) will enable the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to do quantitative and qualitative analysis on the progress of the project to take the relevant corrective measures and actions.
In addition to the BPI, design and development of the new system, TBS will provide data entry, capacitybuilding/training and maintenance service
